nobody wants a player who fights with other teammates at practice. What if we throw in Biega and Schaller and give you Fin as a sweetener |

I'm fine with him fighting if it wakes some of them up. Don't want MDZ, Biega and Schaller, you can have him for like a 4th/5th round pick soon.

Unfortunate for fans, we have little indication as to what the problems are. So, we are left to try and play detective and read into any bit of info we do get.
Bottom line, this team has something major wrong. Seems like management cannot get it fixed. |

Anyone else feel it odd that the goal off the back glass was almost 13 year to the exact day that Martin Rucinsky scored a similar goal against Patrick Lalime, giving the Rangers the OT win over the Blues in St. Louis? |

Nick Kypreos claimed that there is interest between the Blues and Leafs on moving Pietrangelo. Nick suggested TO's 1st or a prospect, Kapanen or Johnnson and Zaitsev.
Do you guys think he will be moved before his contract expires or do you think he is extended? |

If you expect the Blues to take Zaitsev back the deal would have to get sweeter. That contract is a doozy imho.

I don’t want an elite defenseman who’s simply having a bad season going anywhere; but if it has to happen, it should be for Nylander, Liljegren, and a 1st or 2nd. |

I really do not understand this team. How can we follow up such big wins (preds, jets) and just get completely embarrassed (yotes, Canucks). I think eventually we'll get hot and acquire some points, there is too much talent on this roster to be a bottom three team. Unfortunately, it will likely be too little too late. I could see us finishing in the 83-87 point range. This could create a very unfortunate situation where we miss the playoffs and land a pick outside of the top 10, in which case we would be unable to defer next year's pick to the Sabres.
I'm wondering about Schenn as a potential deadline candidate to be sold. He still has another year on his contract which gives him extra value compared to a rental. He and Petro will both need new contracts following next season and it might be difficult to afford both. We got a first and an OK prospect for two month's of Stastny. If this team needs a mini-rebuild it might make sense to move him.

Not sure if I'd move Schenn. He seems like one of the few "leaders" that actually care on this team. Only way I might is if Thomas starts emerging as 1/2nd line center he is projected to be. I think you're right this team will probably end up drafting 11th overall and our pick will go to Buffalo. |

I wouldn't want him going either. I do not think Nylander is an option because of politics and I think that Zaitsev would have to be a part of it.
This is also assuming there is no turn around and this season is a write off. |

I agree he isn't a benefit to the trade. That contract could have been good if he continued his development pace which was good but he got ill in Nov last year and hasn't really stood out since.
